Navox Network

Privacy-first networking CRM built on weak-ties research

May 20, 2026 30+ recruiters, career coaches, and EAs asked for a CRM. I built one.

That was the signal.

The original V0 was built on Granovetter's weak-ties research — the 1973 finding that your peripheral connections are more valuable for opportunities than your close ones. Confirmed at scale by a 2022 Science paper using LinkedIn's actual data (20M users, 2B connections, 600K job changes).

Import your LinkedIn connections, see your network as a graph, identify structural gaps by industry. Free, browser-only, no account required. It hit #15 on Product Hunt in March. 117 upvotes, 165 followers. Modest, but the inbound quality was high.

What I built next

I spent five months — from initial research in January to the full CRM shipping this week — turning the science into a proper workflow tool, solo, using Claude Code. The key decisions:

Browser-only architecture. All contact data stays in IndexedDB. It never touches a server. No account, no sync, no privacy policy that requires a lawyer to read. This was non-negotiable. Recruiters handle sensitive relationship data and the trust bar is high.

Research-backed features, not feature parity with Salesforce. Every feature maps to the weak-ties framework: gap analysis by industry, outreach queue prioritized by connection dormancy, AI drafts that reference shared context. Pipeline and contacts table are there because recruiters asked, but the opinionated core is the network graph.

AI as fear-dissolver, not voice replacement. One early tester (AI product builder, not a recruiter) reframed the AI feature for me: "It's not lack of time holding people back from reaching out — it's cognitive load, blanketed in fear." That's what the AI drafting layer is for. Generate the first sentence so the user doesn't go blank. They edit, they send, the message always sounds like them.

Pricing

$39/month or $149 lifetime for the first 100 founding members. If it doesn't move the needle on your network in 30 days, full refund. The free tier is genuinely useful on its own — graph, gap analysis, outreach queue, LinkedIn import.

Where things stand

Live at navox.tech/network. I'm hunting the first paying customers right now — recruiters, career coaches, or anyone whose work depends on relationships they can't afford to forget.

Happy to answer questions about the architecture, the research, or what it actually took to ship this solo.

About

I built Navox Network because people sit on networks full of warm connections but no way to act on them. 50 years of research says weak ties drive job mobility — no tool helped you find them. Now one does.
