Hey Indiehackers, I’m a coffee nerd who’s tired of wading through sketchy Yelp reviews to find a decent third-wave cafe, especially when traveling. Ever show up to a “top-rated” spot only to get served burnt espresso? Yeah, me too. 

That’s why I built near-me.cafe, a web app to connect coffee lovers with authentic, community driven reviews from real enthusiasts. It’s free, lets you discover, review, and bookmark cafes, and aims to create a trusted space for folks who take their coffee seriously.

I’m starting a 30-day challenge to get my first 100 users, and I want to share the journey with you, failures and all! I’m a solo founder, learning as I go, and I’ll be posting daily updates about my progress, challenges, and wins. 

Today’s Day 1: I just launched the app and started reaching out to local coffee groups. No users yet, but I’m pumped to see where this goes.

The whole idea for near-me.cafe came from a trip last year when I was dying for a good flat white. I trusted a “4.8-star” cafe on a big review site, only to end up with watery espresso and a sad vibe. Turns out, half the reviews were fake or from folks who think instant coffee is gourmet. That’s why I built near-me.cafe to connect serious coffee lovers with cafes that get it, using authenticated reviews you can actually trust.

Since very soft launching yesterday we have 26 new users and counting on Google Analytics. Let's goooo! 100 users seems possible in 30 days!
