We officially launched with Peak Grantmaking, which is great. Peak Grantmaking provided lots of additional support for Dahna and I, including some additional funding after I finished my fellowship with New America to add some additional features like templating.

I finished up an awesome fellowship period with New America. The team at the Public Interest Technology fellowship all worked on different paths. My focus ended up being social entrepreneurship and the Net Grant Calculator was a software expression of a core failing that we saw: applying for grants that ended up being a net loss.

Dahna and I started sketching out the Grant Calc idea, initially as a part time project while I was doing additional research. She built out an incredible excel prototype of the baseline calculations, and I sketched out the overall interface and user flow.
