Netdriver
Open-Source NetDevOps Python Framework
I feel like out of the most programming fields the NetDevOps gets the least amount of love while being the most important part of automation future. And this was specially noticible for us every time we worked with automation related projects.
Hoping from library to library, building our own functions and processes while using outdated tools wasted so much of our limited time that we decided to take this matter in to our own hands.
We decided to add quality-of-life features on top of already established Netmiko library and turn it in to an efficent framework that we needed.
Main features we added:
- API-Driven Integration: Offers a native HTTP RESTful API for seamless integration with external systems and applications.
- Customizable Session Persistence: Maintains open connections for ongoing tasks, significantly improving execution efficiency.
- Command Execution Queuing: Prevents concurrency conflicts to ensure stable and predictable device interactions.
- High-Performance Asynchronous Operations: Enables efficient, non-blocking communication with multiple devices simultaneously.
Thanks to all of this we managed to create a Swiss Army Knife for network engineers and make it free so no one had to struggle as much as we did.
Visit our github page to give your feedback so we can continue making Netdriver better for everyone and if this tools is not related to you then at least give it a 🌟 so that the devs who need it get a higher chance of finding it.
About
My team and I needed a tool to speed up the network automation process, so we decided to create "Netdriver" which has our own quality-of-life features on top of established NetDevOps library "Netmiko".
