September 17, 2020 Started charging for Newslet

After some user interviews and discussion, Newslet is now $7/month. The primary purpose of Newslet is to get writers more eyes on their newsletters which lead to more subscribers. When speaking with writers, it was no surprise that the #1 outcome they hope for when posting their newsletter on Newslet is additional subscribers.

The problem of distribution in newsletters is interesting. Their are plenty of platforms which allow writers to distribute their newsletters, monetize them, and analyze them but their aren't any platforms, that I know of, that optimize for conversions=new subscribers. I think many want to serve the purpose of discoverability but it can be done more intelligently i.e. smart matching of readers and writers.

Onwards! If you'd like to get your newsletter on Newslet, go here. You'll receive a monthly invoice to your email that when paid, keeps your newsletter live on Newslet.

September 9, 2020 Newsletters added! Discovery vibes

First thing's first. Thanks for reading and if you'd like to add your newsletter or get notified on when we launch, visit https://newslet.webflow.io (I got the domain just haven't updated :))

Nothing crazy but it has been good to more than 30 new newsletters added with a focus on productivity and technology as well as education.

One thing I've immediately noticed is that Newslet can be a great discovery tool for Newsletters if properly organized and managed. This is what I was intending it do be, initially for myself, for all. I can think of few ways of easily discovering the newsletters that visitors have added so would love feedback here.

other quick notes

  • Submissions have been thoughtful
  • International submissions = need to factor in language
  • capture email to contact writers (now required)

Thanks!

Now off to normal job
