Since v2 launch, we saw continuous growth in the traffic as more people find a way to keep up with the latest news around the world especially on the COVID-19 situation.
We took some time out from our full time work to look into enhancing the experience on NewsTube.
We've redesigned the user interface and made the user experience much better.

Past four weeks since the initial launch, we saw continuous growth in the traffic as more people find a way to keep up with the latest news around the world especially on the COVID-19 situation.
💪 Better SEO
The growth had been primarily driven by us sharing the link in social media and in chats. However, now that we've secured people's attention, we spent past few days to enhancing the SEO. Well, we are mostly coders not really SEO experts but we managed to follow basic rules as well as enable server side rendering to allow crawlers easily parse the data.
✅ Content
We added more live stream sources, languages and regions. NewsTube now offers:

- 🌍 40+ Regions
- 🈯️ 40+ Languages
And following content types:
- 📺 Watch (Live stream, video)
- 📻 Listen (Podcast, audio) 🆕

🎨 New Design
We completely revamped the home page to now give snapshots of latest video live streams, podcast and news along with major UI/UX updates.
We're looking forward to continue enhancing the experience and helping people without a TV and finding a way to live stream latest news.

While stuck at home, without an access to TV, it was been difficult be on top of the latest news. Sure, we have news network's official websites and YouTube channels to live stream news, however there is no single place where we can easily find all the news.
The idea is to aggregate live streams from all the news channels and organise it by Country and Languages and make it available in one simple web app for both desktop and mobile use with a sleek UI and UX.
Hence we create NewsTube.Live which does exactly that.

We are using Google's News RSS API. It has the translations already :)

No we don't expect any legal issues since it helps them reach broader audience and these are youtube embedded streams, if any channel wouldn't want others to embed them they can easily disable it in their youtube accounts.
