The why
As a systems integrator I frequently have to travel to various facilities and connect to plant or equipment networks. Keeping track of what IP address to use at each facility was challenging, as was navigating the Windows menus to find the right adapter and change the address required multiple clicks. This application was developed to make not only managing these addresses easier, but switching between them as easy as selecting the profiles and clicking Apply. This is an application I use multiple times a week so I thought I would share it. It is ideal for IT professionals, system integrator and service techs. Network tools like this usually win on convenience and reliability.
Are users coming back regularly or using it occasionally?
The part that stood out to me is that this started from a workflow you had to repeat over and over, not from trying to build a broader networking tool.
Some of the most useful products come from removing a small frustration that professionals experience often enough to stop questioning it.
