So I put timeline into timeline to be able to read timeline in a timeline.

June 2019
First traffic spike after I implemented SSR and making site visible to Google and Bing. Active users started slowly climbing up, not so much registered and returned users anyway.

In between
Realized even with some traffic the project is more dead in terms of user interest than alive. At least still using it for myself.

January 2020
Got some motivation to implement some features: added likes and comments and posts search.

March 2020

Not to say it unexpected, just approves my opinion about no interest to project and my total lack of marketing skills:)

Gonna abandon project for a while. Pretty sure there is no reason to waste more time or pivot but will leave it running anyway because of 200+ visitors in a day, someone still can found it useful.

Need to rest and think about what to do next, have some ideas and this time will validate it thoroughly first before code.

At first I was thinking about subscription model, do some advanced features and so on. After first attempt to launch via promoting Nius by using some low budget Google Ads I realized this is not how it will work. Just a few hundreds visitors and much fewer sign-ups. My first disappointment. Got some time for myself to relax and rethink my future actions. Next, I've decided to remove subscription model, implement server side rendering and try to gain some traction via organic search.

Idea has come to me when number of subscribed Telegram channels count go far than 10 in my main Telegram account, here comes struggle to read them all. I thought it is a good idea to create a solution for this pain, start a side gig to get some experience in full-stack web development. So here come Nius, a reader platform for Telegram. Started coding, registered domain name nius.io
