Hit over $2000 in one month (see edit)
by Pete CodesEdit! At the end of the month I got a confirmation from a client who have since postponed payment. So I have to reduce October's figure to $1,693 ☹️ - I'll only post figures in future when the money has actually been processed. 💰 I was acting in good faith but I want to be super transparent. 😎
I am elated that I have now got $2,032 in revenue for October just 11 days after I hit the $1,000 benchmark! I've still got a few days left to get more sales this month so I won't be slacking. 😀
I interview developers without Computer Science degrees about how they've been successful without the traditional route into tech. Most of the money has come from website and newsletter sponsors with a small amount from affiliate links as well.
Each deal I do boosts my confidence and energy and helps with the next one. I've been listening to the IH podcast episode with Steli a great deal and it's really helpful.
Oh and as I mentioned on Twitter earlier, I was unemployed until March this year and then making minimum wage in June until I quit my job to launch No CS Degree and work on it full time. You can check my open page with my revenue and traffic stats.

Cutting deals my man. Nice work. Can you elaborate a bit. Is this going to be MRR or money you're being paid just for October? Either way, a great growth.

Good questions! These are just for October. I don't really buy into the whole startup shibboleth of MRR as a metric.
So I got some indie makers to sponsor the blog and the jobs newsletters (turns out it was a good idea having more than one, haha!)
I also sold a sponsored post to a bootcamp today.
There were also a couple of affiliate links from past interviewees.

If it helps at Ministry of Testing we mostly built up on non MRR revenue. Each to their own. :)
I also have no qualifications, though I don't call myself a developer ;)

Can't break it down like that I'm afraid cos it's an advantage to companies if they know. It's like when you look for a job they ask you how much you got paid in the last job so they can pay you as little as possible.
I'm gonna blog about this but really, just send a number to someone and see what they say :)
