I launched my Imposter Syndrome ebook

I had worked on it for a few weeks and it had been 99% done for a while.
I already had the content from my interview on No CS Degree so it was really a question of designing a cover that held me up. I had to ask people's permission to feature their faces which is only fair.
I've had 48 sales so far in the first week so I'm fairly happy with that. It's priced at $5 so $240 for my first ebook already is pretty good. It's nice to have something to add to newsletters if I don't have a sponsor one week.
I've also added a few chapters for free as a link magnet when people join my newsletter.

Hi Pete,
I just finished reading your ebook and I think it's really good, but I am sure it could be a lot better in v2 :)
My honest opinion is – currently, for me it's more a book with short interviews rather than a book about imposter syndrom that exhaust the topic. These short interviews would be great addition if you could dive deeper into imposter syndrom problem, do some research about it and then put some science in it.
These are personal opinions of people you've done interviews with, and although they are really appreciated, I think that many people would appreciate more insight into it, some thoughts from you, some steps how to deal with imposter syndrom etc.
In one interview there was a mention that there are 5 different types of imposter syndrom - I would dig into that.
Other than that, I think it's a important ebook that I enjoyed reading, but I am pretty sure that having done such a successful project as noCSdegree, you could improve this book by a lot in the next version.
PS: there are some small typos, that would be good to correct, and one interview (of Tapha Ngum) is repeated.
I am learning programming myself after 15 years of break, and this book confirmed that all the negative feelings that I have every now and then are completely normal. Because of that, I thank you for this ebook :)

I think that you've created a good place in the Internet for yourself, and the brand that will be much more recognized in the upcoming years.
I am pretty sure that it will influence positively the quality (and abundance) of your projects quite a lot.

Hey Pete, fellow WIPer here though not active recently.
Curious to see what was your economic objective working on this? As in how many copies did you thought of selling at $5 price point to make it viable for the time you put in to put this content together?

Congrats Pete! 48 sales is a great result.
I was a bit surprised by the low price. You probably could have sold the book for $20 as well. Is there a particular reason you didn't ask for more?
And did you hear about the Heavy Metal Launch curve? I wasn't aware of this until recently and it really works. The idea is that you have a sequence announcing your launch. Then you offer a discount or a freebie for a limited time (e.g. launch week) and remind people a couple of times. Sales should peak at the first and last day.

I agree with @joke: $5 is much too low. As I read your post, @petecodes, I was expecting the book to be priced around $35-40.
