NoCom

Hey Indie Hackers!

I'm Pavan, and I've been building NoCom, a marketplace for buying and selling used cars and bikes without unnecessary brokers or middlemen.

The idea came from a simple problem: when browsing used vehicles, it's often difficult to know whether the person posting the listing is actually the vehicle owner.

With NoCom, we're trying to solve that by focusing on verified owner listings.

Here's how it works:

• Users sign up with their mobile number.

• Sellers complete identity verification.

• When listing a vehicle, we check the verified user's name against the registered owner details from the vehicle RC.

• If the details match, the owner can list the vehicle.

• Buyers can browse vehicles and connect directly with sellers.

We also made the listing process easier by automatically filling available vehicle details from the RC, so sellers don't have to enter everything manually.

NoCom is still very early. The app is now live on Google Play, and we're currently focused on the hardest part of building a marketplace: getting genuine vehicle owners to list their cars and bikes and creating enough local supply and demand.

I built the product myself and have been handling everything from development and Firebase to verification flows, testing, Play Store launch and now marketing.

My next goal is simple: get our first meaningful number of genuine owner listings, learn from real users and improve the product based on their feedback.
