July 3, 2020 Hit a new emotional low

Went to 1kprojects website with intention to put a website to a sale and filled out all the details, and was about to hit Submit.

"Nobody would appreciate it nowhere near to how much I do. And just discarding what's probably the most important part of my life so far, won't make me feel much better just because I finally need at least one 'win' after 2.5 years of work."

I didn't hit Submit, but I was done for the night.

July 2, 2020 How to unsuccessfully launch on Product Hunt

I am not actively working on this project anymore, but I am still using it daily, as some more people to, so I decided to give it a go, get some additional exposure if I can; either way it can't hurt.

I quickly threw together couple of screenshots, some description and launched it. I haven't followed any of the articles on "how to... successful PH launch", just went through with it.

https://www.producthunt.com/posts/nodebook-2/

The final outcome is underwhelming, even more than my pessimistic self could predict. I asked some friends to give it an upvote in an effort to not stay at a single, self-congratulating upvote that is there by default.

It was quick, it was painful, it was disappointing, "like my studies" - my parents would say. It couldn't and it didn't hurt the product, but it indeed did hurt my ego and hopes. 🙉

Overall, would do it again. 3/3 (PH upvotes) recommend 🤗

August 2017 Came up with an idea

Somewhere during the summer of 2017, I quit my job and decided to spend on other things. Never before an entrepreneur, never before built a serious and a big website (nor in shape to do so), nor with a clear vision in my mind. But I've felt it. The "IT". That mysterious calling, the need to get out there and make it. To give it a chance, to try it, to fail if needed. To not live with lifelong regret of not even giving it a shot. It consumed me for weeks as I was narrowing down the idea. And it was soon the time to start it.

( Boy, did I not narrow it down enough, but hey, it's a learning process. 😋 )
