NomadBooker

This week I work building from scratch all the calendars feature. When a user creates a listing he will be able to set the base price for their listing, this includes a level of configuration for weekends price weekly discount and monthly discount. Every listing comes with a calendar where users can block a specific day so it is not available to book or they can choose to set a specific price for certain days. The whole backend and UI front-end implementation for this is ready.

For the past week I work implementing the creation of listings as well as all the edit forms. I pretty much cover all the required fields and levels of configuration that you can find on Airbnb, the reason behind this I think this must be expected by customers as a standard. I will update for sure the level of configuration and fields after launch and when I start listening from users things they would like to be added or removed if that is the case. So all the backend and front-end are in place users have a listings view where they can choose to create a new listing by steps or edit an existing listing.

This past weekend I manage to integratre Stripe Subscriptions so users can subscribe to different plans. I implement Stripe Checkout and Stripe Portal I think they are amazing products that handle a lot of nuances if you want to provide users with the ability to upgrade downgrade plans as well as updating and adding payment information. I also manage to integrate Stripe Express Account this will allow users to connect their bank account to receive the rental payments.

We launch our presale website the idea behind this is to have a place to send possible customers after we start talking to them about the project. This way we can start collecting email addresses and customers can start reserving the domains for when we launch the product

The idea behind NomadBooker is to provide property owners with an alternative to Airbnb. Nowadays if you list your property in one of these markets places you end up doing most of the heavy lifting in terms of marketing and still get the 14% cut of the marketplace. We want owners can run their own rental website with more flexibility in terms of brand, saving that 14% cut and also getting more benefits like analytics performance tracking and add-on sales. I built this for myself in the first instance. I had the opportunity to invest in a property and I was looking for something like this, I didn't find something similar so I am building it, hopefully, other property owners can see value in it.
