NONAME
Editorial Assistant for Photographers
I’m a photographer, and over the past few months I’ve been building a private Windows application called NONAME.
It started from a practical problem: my photographic archive was growing, and it was becoming increasingly difficult to keep track of which images were ready, already published, or suitable for posts, carousels and stories.
NONAME is a local-first desktop application built with Python and PyQt6. It helps me manage my photographic archive, create editorial proposals, prepare publications and maintain a clear history of what has already been used.
The application currently includes:
local photo archive management;
ready and published collections;
editorial photo proposals;
posts, carousels and stories;
visual image selection and reordering;
caption and hashtag preparation;
publication history;
dark and light themes;
multilingual interface.
Instagram is currently one publishing destination, but the project is designed around the photographic archive rather than around a social network.
NONAME is currently a private alpha project. It is not available for download, sale or public testing. I’m sharing it to document its development and receive feedback about the concept, interface and workflow.
Below are a few screenshots from the current build.
I’d especially like feedback on:
whether the workflow looks understandable;
which screen feels most useful;
anything that appears confusing or unnecessary.
