Noonlaunch

The weekly launch board for founders

August 7, 2026 I'm building a launch platform where the win can't be bought

Noonlaunch (noonlaunch.com) is a weekly launch board for founders. Products launch on Monday, collect votes for a week, and the top 3 win a permanent badge. Every listing keeps a dofollow backlink from a DR 30 domain and a permanent page with analytics: views, clicks, impressions, still visible months later.

Where it stands: 500+ products launched, 460+ founders, about 4k monthly visitors.

Three decisions that shaped it:

1. Weekly, not daily. A small platform running daily launches means three products competing and a dead board by evening. Copying Product Hunt's format without Product Hunt's traffic is cosplay.

2. Paid placement can't win. There's an $11 featured slot, but winners come from free launches only, decided by votes. This costs me revenue every week. A leaderboard you can buy is worthless to everyone on it.

3. Show the after-launch numbers. Most platforms hide what happens after launch day because the answer is "nothing." Every Noonlaunch listing shows its own traffic instead.

Question for founders here: what made you trust the platforms you've launched on? That's the problem I'm working on now.

(This week's board is open and free if you have something ready.)

The focus on keeping launches fair is interesting.

I’m curious — after hundreds of products launched, what patterns have you noticed between founders who get lasting value from a launch and those who only see a short spike?

    1. 1

The biggest pattern so far is pretty simple: launch day creates awareness, but consistency creates results. Founders who keep shipping updates and sending people back to their listing continue getting traffic. The ones who stop talking about their product after launch usually see the spike disappear.

      1. 1

That’s helpful context. I appreciate you sharing the pattern you’ve seen across so many launches.

I’d like to continue the conversation outside the thread. What’s the best email to reach you on?

August 7, 2026 I checked what all 10 launch platforms actually charge in 2026. Full list, including the one we built.

Disclosure first, because it matters for how you read the rest: we run NoonLaunch, which is one of the ten below. So take my opinions with the appropriate salt, and take the prices at face value, because I went and checked every one of them this week rather than copying another list.

That was the whole reason for doing this. Most "Product Hunt alternatives" posts are recycled from each other, and a lot of the numbers in them are one to three years stale. I wanted a version where every figure came off the platform's own page, with a date attached.

Here is what I found.

What each one actually costs

Product Hunt: free. Still the highest ceiling on this list if you have an audience to mobilise. Daily leaderboard, so it is one cycle and preparation matters more than the product.

BetaList: 99 Standard, $299 Premium, one time. 70,000+ newsletter subscribers, dofollow visit link, and they cap you at two features (once pre-launch, once at launch). Full refund if your startup is not selected.

PeerPush: free queue, or $39 to publish instantly. They report 751,611 monthly visitors. Built so AI assistants can parse the listing, which is a genuinely different product from the rest of this list.

StartupBase: free with a badge on your site, or from $39. Daily board, permanent listing, dofollow.

Uneed: free queue, or $14.99 to fast track. 90K monthly visitors, dofollow.

Fazier: free to launch. The 49 you see on their site are advertising placements, not launch fees.

SaaSHub: free listing, $99/month to be featured. 564,000+ monthly visitors. Not a launch platform at all: it is where people search for alternatives to software they already pay for. Different traffic, does not decay after a day.

Smol Launch: $19 per launch, or free with a badge. Monday to Sunday weekly cycle, permanent listing after. 16,000+ makers.

EverFeatured: free to submit, $7 and only if they select you. They write an editorial article per product. 69 published so far.

NoonLaunch: free to submit. Weekly board, seven days instead of one, permanent page after.

Three things that surprised me

1. Nine of the ten have a way in for free. BetaList is the only one with no free option at all. It is also the only one that refunds you if you are not selected, which I think is the fairer trade than it first looks.

2. I had BetaList wrong until someone corrected me. I originally wrote that they do not publish their prices, because I checked their public FAQ and found nothing. Their prices only appear once you are logged in and inside the submission flow. That is why so many comparison posts list them as unpublished, mine included until this week. If you are writing one of these, actually go through the flow.

3. "Free to launch" and "free to get a link" are not the same thing. Several of these are free to submit but the dofollow link sits behind the paid tier. Fazier is the clearest example: launching costs nothing, the permanent link comes with the $49 placement. Worth reading the tier, not the headline.

Which one to actually pick

  • Pre-launch, collecting a waitlist: BetaList. Genuinely the right call, and it is not us.

  • One big day, you have an audience: Product Hunt. Nothing here beats its ceiling.

  • You want ChatGPT and Perplexity naming your product: PeerPush. That is the specialist.

  • You just want a cheap permanent link: StartupBase, Uneed or Fazier.

  • Evergreen "alternatives to X" search traffic: SaaSHub.

  • A week instead of a day: Smol Launch or NoonLaunch.

None of these are exclusive. The launches I see work best stack them: BetaList while you are still building, Product Hunt plus a weekly board on launch week, the cheap permanent listings in the same week, then something that keeps earning after the votes stop mattering.

Where we lose

Since I am one of the ten, the only useful thing I can do is be specific about this.

Product Hunt's ceiling is higher than ours. BetaList owns pre-launch and we do not compete there. PeerPush is better at AI discovery than we are. Smol Launch runs the same weekly board we run, and on the weekly window alone either of us does that job. EverFeatured will write you an article for $7, which is cheaper than ours.

A comparison where the person who made it wins every category is not a comparison, it is an ad with a table in it.

Question for you

For those of you who have launched on more than one of these: which one actually sent you users, as opposed to a spike in analytics?

I have my own numbers but they are obviously from one side of the fence, and I would rather hear yours.

All prices checked the week of 28 August 2026. If any of them have moved since, say so and I will correct it.

Launches shouldn't die in 24 hours. Noonlaunch gives founders a weekly board, a permanent page, and a dofollow backlink that stays.
