For personal reasons we made the decision to relocate from Sydney to Brisbane. After successfully running the business full-time for almost 3 years this essentially meant starting all over again in a new city. I've had to take a full-time job in the meantime whilst I relaunch the business as a side hustle but my dream is to get back to doing what I love full-time next year.

The business had grown such that I was able to consider leaving my job completely to devote all my time to my new business. I made the decision to do this on 1 September as here in Australia this is considered the first day of spring and symbolic for me of new beginnings.

I had been working full-time for a non-profit organisation but from 1 January 2016 I reduced my hours so that I could split my time between the job and getting my business going. I worked 2 or 3 days a week in the old job and 2 or 3 days for myself. I started getting jobs for myself in February and it was onwards and upwards from then.

I applied for an Australian Business Registration Number (ABN), got myself a domain name and started working on a website. I was still working in a full-time job at the time but looking forward to moving forward with my business. I started off with the tentative name 'Callout PC Repairs' but quickly changed this to 'Norm's Computer Repairs'.
