My name is Dzmitry and I am introducing Nostrascore – Your Ultimate Destination for Fun Football Predictions!
Are you a football enthusiast eager to engage in friendly competition without the risks of gambling? Nostrascore is an app designed for football fans who crave the thrill of predicting match outcomes, creating competitions, and climbing leaderboards – all without spending a dime.
The inception of Nostrascore was inspired by a unique experience during the Euro 2020 predictions organized by my colleagues in 2021. The manual process using MS Forms and Excel proved cumbersome for both organizers and participants, prompting me to embark on a mission to create an automated, user-friendly platform.
In November 2021, fueled by passion and determination, I began developing Nostrascore. Despite juggling the responsibilities of parenthood and a full-time job, I poured my heart into the project, overcoming challenges and dedicating every spare moment to its progress. Fast forward two years, and I am thrilled to unveil the initial version to the public.
Nostrascore eliminates the need for complicated setups. With just a few clicks, users can effortlessly create competitions, enjoy automated score tracking, and immerse themselves in the excitement of predicting football outcomes. The app boasts comprehensive leaderboards, insightful statistics, and an engaging interface that promises hours of entertainment.
Having personally experienced the pitfalls of spending money on bookmakers during my student days, I also recognized the importance of creating a platform where users can have fun without the risk of financial losses. Nostrascore perfectly encapsulates this vision, providing a safe, gambling-free environment for football enthusiasts to indulge in their passion.
Despite the ongoing journey towards perfection, with design enhancements and a task list awaiting attention, I am committed to the Nostrascore vision. As a testament to its effectiveness, my friends and I began using the early MVP in August 2023 to compete in England Premier League predictions. The engagement and enjoyment we experience on every matchday have solidified Nostrascore as a must-have companion for football aficionados.

Dude, your experience in 2024 was so amazing! Thanks to the European Cup, the number of registrations skyrocketed. And you managed to pull off that cooperation with the brand despite the difficulties. Awesome! The content marketing idea is great, but it's probably not going to be a walk in the park, right? What are you planning for the new features? Give us a little scoop. Can't wait to hear your good news in 2025!
Content marketing will be not an easy walk, but should be something new to me and attractive.
Among the next plans is introducing new points system to choose as not everyone finds current odds based points system fair.
That's actually such an amazing fleet, so good job! I mean you got a lot of users from just Reddit (if I'm reading that correctly). How are you balancing developing the app with content marketing? Cause I realize that would be its own beast
Hi Paola! I have to balance my full-time job, family with two little kids duties, app development and now content marketing will be added:) App development goes not so fast, and the release happened almost 2.5 years after start of development. Hard to say how content marketing will go as I have no experience and just learning it, should start doing this soon. Will see how it will go and how it will influence my other activities.
Regarding users, the cool thing here, that users who created competition invited their friends to join. Also partnership with internet shop gave a lot of users, as they marketed their competition and users joined my app to compete in their competition.

2024 was a big year of growth and learning for you! Hitting milestones like your first non-friend users, initial payments, and brand collaborations is a huge deal. Even though the revenue didn’t fully cover hosting, those early transactions are proof that your app has real potential. The experience of rapidly adding features and localizations for a Polish internet shop must have been intense but also rewarding. Now, with 2025 ahead, focusing on new features and content marketing could be a great way to build momentum and attract more users beyond big events like Euro 2024. Just checked the product and I have to say I love the idea! Can you share a bit more how did you market this product in early days? Also I saw that your pricing package is quite high - can you expand a bit on what user is getting for 20€?
So, competitions are free for up to 10 competitors. Medium and Large competitions are for bigger number of users. The price is one time payment. If someone creates competition in the beginning of the season, they can play with friends almost a year. So 20€ seems not too high for this. But of course I am learning and current prices are my first iteration on learning path.
The only marketing activities for now - some actions on Reddit before Euro 2024. I did not want to spam other users, so just wrote few comments where users asked for such app advice, and one post in side hustle related group.
That's great to see the build up of collaborations and users. With reddit - did you mainly inform people that you had a tool related to their comments. I find people engage with my comments/posts but it's difficult to get them to do anything after that like doing a feedback survey or joining a waitlist.
How did you go about actually getting them onto your platform?
Some users created posts where they asked about such app to play with their friends during Euro 2024, so I commented with information about my application. People who saw my comment were my super-duper target auditory. That gave me the first users and one payment.
I was so exited about the first ever payment, that decided to share it with other side hustlers/indie hackers. So I created a post with my long story about almost 3 years of development before receiving the first payment, this post also gave me new users.
I think that was perfect time to tell other people about my app because before/during Euro tournament even people who are not really interested in football started to be interested for a limited time.
