June 27, 2024 I'm not back

Decided to kill this project. Never got any organic sign ups. It's clear I need to work on my marketing chops if I ever want a successful product. Heading over to work on churchmentor.io to level up my marketing skills and get closer to the market I intend to serve.

August 23, 2023 I'm Back

After some life events, I'm back in the saddle. I'm trying to focus a bit more on the networking / marketing side of Notes Pro. People need to know that we exist if they're ever going to use the product. I've got a new marketing site and have been trying my hand at cold email. If you work / serve at a church or know anyone who does, send them my way!

January 12, 2023 App User Onboaring

We just added a new section on the homepage to help new users get onboarded with notespro after signup. It's simple but it will help you accomplish the first few mile stones in the app. Here are those milestones:

  1. Create a note page with the notion style editor
  2. Schedule the note page to be live
  3. Share your notespro account link with your people
  4. Use the note analytics to track view, engagement and more

We're hoping this will help new users get up to speed as quickly as possible!

January 11, 2023 Live Demo of Note Editor

Our new marketing site has gotten an upgrade! You can now try out a live demo of the notespro note editor right there on the website. If you’ve ever used notion, you should feel right at home. You can use ‘/’ commands to add new blocks and edit text just like the most famous block editor around.

We’ve also added a few key features and integrations so stay tuned 👀

December 14, 2022 Here I am!

After about 1 year of building, I'm finally 'ready' to release my product to the public. The reality is however, that I should have done this long ago. When I first started on this journey of building my first product, I was wide eyed and full of enthusiasm. That enthusiasm quickly turned into doubt, which then turned into resolve as I plugged away writing code and ideating features for NotesPro. I had no idea what I was doing aside from writing good code (I'm a developer by trade). As I learned more and more about building a business, one thing became clear: building is the easy part. Selling, marketing and evangelizing your product is the hard part.

The cardinal sin of SaaS startups is, of course, building a full product without marketing or selling it in advance. Due to my ignorance, I believed the proverbial 'Build it and they will come.' However, I have since learned that is not the case almost 100% of the time. I'm not giving up, in fact quite the opposite. I'm here and ready to jump into the world of promotion and marketing to get my product out into the hands of my customers.

Here's to building and marketing fantastic software products!
