August 28, 2026 After 15 years in domains, I built the watchlist I kept wishing existed

I spent fifteen years inside the domain industry. I founded DomainSherpa, created DNAcademy (acquired by GoDaddy), and later ran domain education at GoDaddy.

I kept seeing the same miss: someone wanted a name, it expired or the price dropped, and they found out after it was gone. Expired names route through registrar auctions with no master list. Marketplace prices change daily. Fire sales vanish in hours.

I started building Notify.domains in May 2024 so founders, investors, and brokers could watch a specific name they do not own yet. It launched in April 2026.

It checks each domain 20+ times per day across all IANA TLDs: WHOIS, RDAP, auctions, marketplaces, website signals, and more. When something changes, you get a plain-English notification with exact next steps, not raw data.

I code it myself, full time, as a solo founder. $24/year, 7-day free trial, no credit card required.

The interesting part seems less about how much data Notify.domains checks and more about what users actually consider worth being alerted about.

Curious which types of changes get the strongest reaction so far.
