After launching on Product Hunt, 1st user signed up on her own, checked out the product and upgraded to paid version of the product!
Looking at flow happen on its own from a person with no direct connection with was really satisfying. Learning for me, Important to put stuff out there for right people to discover instead of sweating on getting everything right in own head.
I started sharing Nous publicly after few weeks of collecting feedback from about 25 people in private beta on what insights will make them get more out of their meetings, product stability, feature optimizations and stripe payment integrations.

I decided this problem is worth looking into to solve and narrowed down on starting with analytics to bubble up meeting insights from calendar for people first and if that succeeds, move on to other integrations (Zoom transcripts, Biometrics etc) and automatic recommendation implementations.
Wrapped the analytics with Plotly / Dash as Python Flask application and got integration with Google Calendar working.

Earlier this year as meetings moved online, I found myself drowning into them, unable to get any real work done. As I looked around for a tool to audit my calendar to figure out patterns of how my time was being spent, couldn't find any great option out there!
So, I did some data science on calendar and discovered 3 primary dimensions which cause meetings to be draining and ineffective:
- Wrong people in meetings
- Agenda not well defined
- Schedule not optimized for individuals
I was able to leverage these insights and cut down my weekly meetings into half! Hence, decided to build a service so people in similar situation can seamlessly do the same.
What if a service could be built on top of the analytics? 🤔
After some market research, this seems like a problem tons of people in medium to large companies have with mixed roles of Individual and Managerial contributions.
1/3rd of meetings are ineffective wasting $37B for companies.
There should be an opportunity to help people / companies!
