Nucode
No code maker community
Hey everyone!
We soft-launched our Nucode.co redesign a few weeks ago and today we're excited to announce that it's out!
Our last milestone on January 17th was actually about hitting 1000 users, and as I write this we've grown by 15%. So we've grown organically without any paid marketing by 15% in less than a month!
Now, the hard part begins. Discovering our different revenue models that make sense for us.
Looking forward to helping more IndieHackers build projects without code!
For anyone with questions about their no-code projects, feel free to tag me here on IH in the No-Code group (https://www.indiehackers.com/group/no-code) anytime
And we'll be launching Nucode v2.2 pretty soon with a ton more features.
The biggest contributing factor was social media marketing (Twitter, Instagram), as well as constantly engaging with other folks in the community.
I've likely taken 25+ (unpaid) calls to chat with other makers about how to build their dream products & startups without code in the last month, and I'm excited to continue that trend!
If anyone wants to learn how to build an app without any code, come join us! We'll be launching a brand new version of Nucode.co this month. π

Congratulations! That's an awesome milestone. Have you written about how you've gone about social media marketing? Specifically instagram?
Are you doing paid ads or purely organic?

Thank you!
I haven't written about it anywhere to be honest, but it all comes down to just interacting with the community. Anytime I have a free minute, just checking out what others are posting and/or posting helpful content ourselves always works out. All organic!

I finally finished up Nucode V2 and am giving some beta users access to it!
I've added:
π 100+ Community curated no code lessons, courses, and tutorials.
π¬ A custom forum solution built without code. Mentions, inline images, and more coming soon too!
π§A newly centralized Submit experience so any no code maker can submit a tool, product, template, lesson or course!
If you'd like early access you can signup at Nucode.co and email me your profile link at joe at nucode.co!
Just checked the Nucode scoreboard and the community passed 300 users!
It took about 8 weeks to hit the first 150, users, then 4 weeks to double that to over 300!
Posting on Twitter has been the biggest source of new no code makers signing up.
Our Product Hunt launch went decently well but was not on the homepage for the first half of the day (best part of the day) and we ended up with less users after launch than from my regular posts to Twitter.
My next focus will be to setup a good nurture campaign and continue building out my revenue strategy.

I am confident sure NuCode is now the largest source for discovering no code products.
To add to that, I've curated 121 no code tools that makers can start building with. On each tool page, I showcase all the no code products built with that tool. And on product pages I showcase all the tools use to build that product, just in case there was more than one.
For anyone interested, I built Nucode.co fully without code on Bubble.is.

Hey Joe, congratulations on your early success! How does the site earn money? It would be great if you could add Timesy.app to your site it's in beta but fully built with Bubble.is thanks

Hey Dudley! Wow Timesy is very cool! Feel free to submit it at nucode.co/submit π would love to feature it!
As far as revenue, right now it's just off templates that I've made. Over the next couple weeks I'll be officially launching Nucode on PH in tandem with new services and yearly subscriptions for tutorials/lessons/etc though π

Let us know when your on PH and I'll be sure to upvote. Keep it up

What has been your strategy to get the submissions in?

My strategy so far as been to manually reach out to folks on Twitter or via email that have built cool no code products and just asked if they want to be featured π
Since the value of adding products right now doesn't have much of a traffic boost (like Betalist or Product Hunt), it's more just about the community and recognition of the no code projects.

Took a couple weeks but got a lot of positive feedback from other makers about building products without code and hit 150 users on June 1st.
One thing I've learned thus far after building countless projects (for myself and companies) is that it doesn't matter how you build your product, as long as you provide the best end user experience.
Maybe that's coding, maybe it's not. That's up to you.
