Nventory
The Operating System for Multi-Channel Brands
Shipping the 34th marketplace integration today.
Started with 5. Users asked for more. Then more. Then more after that.
Looking back at the whole build, three things I'd do differently from day one:
Build the normalization layer before writing any integration code. The temptation to build the Shopify integration first and extract patterns later always leads to messier patterns than designing upfront.
Build idempotency into every webhook handler before anything else. Retrofitting it is significantly harder than building it in from the start.
Ship the reconciliation job in week one not after the first production incident. It's insurance. You want it before you need it.
Current state: real-time inventory and order sync across 34+ channels from one dashboard. Pricing from $25/month. Free trial at nventory.io.
What's the one thing you wish you'd built from day one that you ended up retrofitting later?
Most conversations about eCommerce growth revolve around marketing. Founders obsess over CAC, ROAS, creatives, funnels and conversion rate optimization. And while those metrics matter, they’re not usually what break a business when it starts scaling.
What quietly breaks first is operations.
When Growth Stops Feeling Simple
In the early stages, operations feel manageable. You’re selling on one or two channels, fulfilling from a single location and inventory is relatively easy to track. Even if your systems aren’t perfect, the gaps are small enough to manage manually.
But growth changes the equation.
As brands expand across multiple sales channels and add additional warehouses or fulfillment partners, complexity increases faster than most systems can handle. What once felt smooth becomes fragile.
Inventory begins drifting between platforms. Stock updates lag during high-volume periods. Orders require manual intervention. Shipping systems operate separately from inventory counts. Teams create spreadsheets as a fallback “just in case.”
Individually, these problems seem minor. Collectively they create operational instability.
The Hidden Cost of Fragmentation
The issue isn’t a lack of tools. Most scaling brands already use inventory software, shipping tools, channel integrations and dashboards.
The real issue is fragmentation.
When inventory, orders, warehouses, and shipping systems don’t operate as a unified, real-time layer, businesses rely on human checks to fill the gaps. That introduces delays, errors, and ultimately lost revenue especially during promotions or high-traffic campaigns.
Operational debt compounds quietly. It doesn’t show up in a marketing dashboard. It shows up in refunds, overselling, fulfillment delays and internal stress.
Why We Built Nventory
After observing this pattern across growing multi-channel brands, we built Nventory.
The goal wasn’t to create another basic inventory tracker. It was to build a centralized operational layer that keeps inventory, orders, warehouses, shipping and automation aligned in real time across channels.
Something purpose-built for scaling eCommerce brands without the complexity and overhead of a full enterprise ERP.
We’ve recently launched and are speaking with founders and operators who’ve experienced this shift from “manageable” to “complex.”
If you’ve scaled an eCommerce business, what was the first operational issue that caught you off guard?

They Have a Fragmentation Problem.
Once a store starts selling across multiple channels and warehouses, things break.
Not immediately.
But slowly:
• Stock mismatches
• Overselling during campaigns
• Orders routed manually
• Shipping disconnected from inventory
• Teams relying on spreadsheets “just in case”
We kept seeing this pattern.
So we built Nventory - a centralized operations layer for multi-channel eCommerce brands.
Not a bloated ERP.
Not a basic plugin.
A real-time system that connects:
Inventory → Orders → Warehouses → Shipping → Automation
All in one place.
Built for brands that have outgrown “basic tools” but don’t want enterprise complexity.
We just launched.
Curious: What broke first when your store started scaling?
