June 13, 2026 I built an AI invoicing/proposal tool after chasing a $2,400 invoice for a month, live now, looking for freelancer feedback

I spent years at Amazon building financial infrastructure: systems that move money at massive scale without anyone thinking twice about it.

Then I got laid off and started freelancing. First month in, I was chasing a $2,400 invoice for almost four weeks. Manually writing it, sending awkward "hey, just following up" emails, waiting.

The irony wasn't lost on me. I'd built payment infrastructure for one of the biggest companies in the world, and I couldn't get my own invoice paid on time.

So I built Nvoyce.

What it does:

  • AI generates invoices and proposals from a quick description of the work

  • Every invoice ships with a Stripe payment link built in

  • Automated follow-up reminders go out until the client pays, no awkward manual chasing

  • Proposals convert straight into invoices once accepted, so it's one tool for the whole client engagement

  • Installment billing for split payments

Stack: Next.js 15 (App Router), TypeScript, Supabase, Clerk for auth, Claude (Anthropic) for generation, Stripe for payments, Resend for email, deployed on Vercel. iOS and Android apps too (React Native/Expo).

Where it's at: Live at nvoyce.ai, on the App Store and Google Play. 7-day free trial, no card required. Solo plan is $19.99/mo, Team is $39.99/mo for multi-seat/white-label.
I'm building this solo, nights and weekends turned full-time. Still early, still shaping the roadmap based on what freelancers actually need versus what I assumed they'd need.

The question I actually want answered: if you freelance or consult, what's the most annoying part of getting paid right now? Not features you wish existed, the actual moment in your week where this breaks down. That's what I want to fix next.

If this sounds like your situation, the trial's 7 days, no card needed, link's above. Happy to jump on a call or just answer questions in the comments if you want to see whether it fits your workflow first.

About

Every hour a freelancer spends chasing a late payment is an hour they're not doing the work they love. I built Nvoyce to eliminate that entirely.
