I had a lot of hype and did a lot of research.
This was a problem I wanted to solve for so long, that eventually Google and other "solved" it (look for scores of recent / upcoming games)
I still think this would be a good site. Like Google search showing the scores and reddit, having a place to discuss the games.
The amount of manual entry make it not feasible for a single person to operate (me) and keep it updated. There are a tons of API's that sell this data and while that might work the risk of recovering the investment.
Anyway, it was a very nice dream, I enjoyed a lot doing the prototype, and the design but I might put this on the shelve for a while.
Maybe the logo creation is not as important as the rest of the items that need to be done, but enjoying the process is important too.
In this daydreaming of mine I wondered what my logo could look like.
I create one myself (with my limited to non existing design skills) and I was content with it. Then I decided to pay a designer to finish it and she rebuilt it and I'm very happy with the result.

Lesson learned: Let the specialist do the job
Created a very very simple landing page.
Not even the landing page that will convert, just the landing page that will hold the www.nxmatch.com domain.

And now we have a very simple teaser landing page.
I created this design about a year ago, before knowing tools like Figma even existed.
So I create it using Google Drawings (yeah, it was a pain)
So, this is the concept, I think it has potential, although I should recognize I haven't done any of the required tasks like interview users.
Friends: "Did you watch the game last night?"
Me: "What game?"
Them: "The final!! It was amazing"
Me: "What?! No, was it last night? I thought it was next weekend"
So, I want to have a site that responds to the question: When is the next match?
Most of the sport sites are (still) full of information I don't care, like news, bets, statistics. I know a lot of people is interested on those, but I just want to know when is the next game.
Worked on this for a bit, then abandoned the idea when Google started to provide this info in their main search results.

I thought? Why don't I create a product here in IH and see if I can partner up. This might still be a good product.

Sorry to hear this man. I previously worked on a similar project and came out with similar results. We built a prototype for league of legends schedule/analytics but found that it would be hard to replicate for other esports without more open api's.
Are you working on anything else? Or have plans to? I would love to hear about them.
Yeah the data source is always a problem.
I do actually. I thought after this: What do have in common places like Social Networks, YouTube or even market places like AirBnB? The users provide the data.
So I'm "working" on something, similar to Google Photos + Notion. And I say "working" because there's not much yet.
The problem I'm trying to solve is one for myself. I want to start saving memories (travel, kids growing, special occasions) and Google Photos (or other photos services) don't quite cut it, because they save all your photos eventually they blur together also there's space for other types of memories (like a letter to your to-be-born children). Document sites like Notion and other alike are very "complex" (another way to say powerful) because they're meant to be used for enterprise documentation and might have features I don't need.
Now when I'll be working on this? I think it's gonna be a long distance run.
I read this the other day: https://www.indiehackers.com/post/the-unreasonable-effectiveness-of-just-showing-up-everyday-01be7c4190 and it totally made sense to me; just start moving the needle every single day.
I'm going to create a larger post soon(ish) to invite more people that might be interested in creating this product with me in a slow paced fashion (where we can work 1 hour a day on it).
What about you? How is is the LoL site going? That are your new endeavors?
That's great to hear. I subscribe to the same idea of showing up everyday and putting work in. Even if its 15 minutes, I push myself to work on my project so I have continuous progress.
As far as the LoL site, it was a small project I did with a friend that I had bigger hopes for but ran into too many financial hurtles (with the data) and not enough potential. I've turned my focus on a couple of projects since then and am now about to start focussing on this project: link
