Automated office desk bookings.
In order to implement this, I considered three use cases to place staff.
- Everyone is on the same single floor or building.
- Everyone is on the same floor/building but organized in multiple teams
- Staff is spread across multiple floors/buildings and organized in multiple teams.
I decided to make the onboarding easier by offering single-sign-on login. This makes it easier for users to log in and try the app immediately. Since the app has a calendar it also makes sense to integrate with a widely used calendar app. After launching most of our users and guests seem to be using this method compared to the usual login methods.

Launching OfficeMixer blog.
First thoughts WordPress, Wix, Google. Options are either expensive or outdated. So I opted for self-hosted Ghost on Digital ocean for $5 a month. Quality and cost-efficiency, for a blog that is at its very early stage.

After adding a simple Login feature for OfficeMixer we were ready for Product Hunt's great launch.
There was absolutely no campaign or friends upvoting and out of nowhere OfficeMixer managed to get 55 upvotes. This was the first time in my life that one of my apps got so many upvotes. I am very grateful for all the people who gave it a try and this has motivated me to work more on this idea.
Worked with another co-founder to launch the OfficeMixer app as well as the static website of the app. What I chose to make easier this time is SSO so every company with Gmail accounts can simply start onboarding employs with a simple sign-in option.
Just login with your work email and book.
