After 18 months of slow, progressive growth, we’ve just reached our first ton. The community isn’t about scale, more about close knit conversations and support, but it’s lovely to know so many people have been intrigued by our group of creatives trying to work on their side projects.

To get the ball rolling, I created a Slack community for the first few people interested in joining. Default settings sufficed to get the conversation flowing and discuss how to possibly organise the community with naming conventions and channels.
We also registered a Twitter account @onthesidenet to compliment the initial launch.
Ben Russell helped spread the word and we were off! 🚀
