Onbely Links
A customizable, data-rich hub for your online presence
I'm building Onbely Links in a market where products like Linktree, Beacons, and many other established alternatives already exist.
So the obvious question is:
Why build another link-in-bio product?
Because I don't think the opportunity is in reinventing the link-in-bio itself.
That part already works.
The interesting question is:
How much more can we build on top of it?
The link-in-bio is only the foundation
Putting several destinations behind one link is already standard.
Instagram.
TikTok.
YouTube.
WhatsApp.
Telegram.
Websites.
Stores.
Communities.
That is the base.
What we're trying to build with Onbely Links is a much deeper layer of control, personalization, analytics, and discoverability on top of that foundation.
🎨 More control over how your page looks
One of the first areas we decided to push further was customization.
I don't want every page to feel like the same template with a different profile picture and background color.
Users can already customize things like:
Buttons
Icons
Colors
Typography
Backgrounds
Images
Border styles
Shadows
Animations
Hover effects
Element behavior
Individual short URLs
Scheduled links
And we're also investing heavily in 3D customization.
That currently includes things like:
3D environments
Animated 3D backgrounds and scenes that can give each page a completely different visual identity.
3D photo frames
Different animated and dimensional frames around profile images.
Animated buttons
Buttons can use different animations, effects and interaction styles instead of remaining static UI elements.
The goal isn't simply to make the page "flashier."
The goal is to give creators and businesses much more control over how their digital identity is presented.
📊 Analytics should go beyond counting clicks
This is probably the part I'm most interested in developing.
Most people using a link-in-bio are directing real traffic through it.
That traffic represents:
Followers
Potential customers
Community members
Leads
Viewers
Buyers
So I think the page should tell you much more than:
"You got 43 clicks."
Onbely Links currently tracks:
Page views
Unique visitors
Returning visitors
Clicks
CTR
Daily performance
Referrers
Traffic sources
UTM sources
UTM mediums
UTM campaigns
UTM content
UTM terms
And we recently added something I'm particularly excited about:
Heatmaps 🔥
Heatmaps let users start understanding where attention is actually concentrated on the page, rather than only seeing the final click.
That opens a different kind of question.
Not just:
Which button was clicked?
But:
What parts of my page are attracting attention?
What content is being ignored?
What should I reposition?
Which elements are actually working?
This is an area we plan to keep expanding significantly.
The long-term goal is for the analytics inside Onbely Links to become useful information that creators and businesses can incorporate into how they evaluate their online performance.
🔎 More control outside the page too
Another area we're building around is what happens before someone even opens the page.
Users can configure their own:
SEO title
Control how the page is described to search engines.
SEO description
Define the context and purpose of the page.
Open Graph image
Control the visual card that appears when the page is shared through social networks and messaging platforms.
That means the user has much more control over how their page is presented when someone shares it.
We're also structuring pages so that their titles, descriptions, links and content can be properly understood by search engines and increasingly by AI-powered search and discovery systems.
I think this will become much more important over time.
Discovery isn't happening only through traditional Google searches anymore.
🧩 The strategy is not to reinvent the category
I'm not trying to pretend we discovered a completely new concept.
We didn't.
Link-in-bio is an established category.
But established categories are interesting because they already prove something very important:
There is demand.
Competition doesn't automatically mean there is no opportunity.
Sometimes it means exactly the opposite.
The challenge is finding a group of users who prefer the way you solve the problem.
For us, that could eventually be because of:
Deeper customization
3D experiences
Better analytics
Heatmaps
More control
Better discovery
Creator-focused features
Or it might eventually be something users haven't even asked us for yet.
That's what we're trying to discover.
🚀 How we're approaching growth
There is no magical growth hack behind this.
The process is pretty simple:
Build.
Ship.
Show it to people.
Listen.
Improve it.
Ship again.
We're deliberately collecting feedback from people who already use this category of product.
Creators.
Small businesses.
Founders.
People managing personal brands.
People already using tools like Linktree or Beacons.
Because those users can tell us something much more valuable than:
"Looks nice."
They can tell us:
"I wouldn't switch because of this."
And that's useful.
🎥 Creators are especially important right now
One of the groups we're particularly interested in working with is content creators.
Creators are interesting because their digital presence is usually fragmented across multiple platforms.
And they interact with their audience constantly.
That makes them very good users for testing:
Page customization
Audience behavior
Traffic sources
Conversion between destinations
Analytics
Mobile workflows
Different page structures
That's also why we've created a dedicated Creator Program.
What I'm trying to figure out now
I'm less interested in asking:
"Do you like it?"
Almost everyone can answer that politely.
I'm much more interested in this:
If you're already using Linktree, Beacons, Carrd, or another link-in-bio tool, what would a new alternative have to do significantly better for you to seriously consider switching?
That's the kind of feedback that can actually influence what we build next.

The switching question is probably the most interesting part here.
Curious what existing users mention first when they explain why they would—or wouldn’t—leave their current link-in-bio tool.
