June 5, 2026 Onbored — Engineering Onboarding Without the Spreadsheet Chaos

New hire day shouldn't involve multiple browser tabs, numerous Slack messages, and a checklist that lacks trust. Onbored is an identity provisioning platform designed specifically for engineering teams. It connects with the tools you already use—GitHub, Slack, Jira, Linear, Google Workspace, Microsoft Entra ID, Confluence, and more—allowing you to create role-based onboarding templates once.

When an employee joins or leaves, you can launch a workflow and provision access across every connected platform from a single place.

Why choose Onbored?

Engineering onboarding is often repetitive, error-prone, and challenging to audit. Teams frequently depend on spreadsheets, ad hoc scripts, and manual IT tickets to manage access, leading to inconsistency, delays, and uncertainty about who has access to what.

Onbored replaces these fragmented processes with:
- Declarative onboarding and offboarding templates
- Automated access provisioning across multiple systems
- Complete run history and audit trails
- Secure, encrypted credential management
- Consistent and repeatable workflows for every employee

Every access change becomes traceable, standardized, and easy to review.

Get started in minutes:
- Create your organization and connect your integrations.
- Build onboarding templates using a live catalog of provider actions.
- Start a run with an employee's email address.
- Watch onboarding steps execute automatically.

No custom scripts. No manual checklists. No uncertainty about who was granted access where.

Whether you're a startup hiring your tenth engineer or an operations leader standardizing access across multiple teams, Onbored helps you onboard faster, offboard safely, and stay audit-ready.

To all IT admins out there:
Try it, break it, enjoy it, and share your valuable feedbacks.

This is a useful product, but I think the positioning risk is that “engineering onboarding” may sound too operational and not painful enough.

The stronger buyer pain is probably not just getting a new engineer set up faster.

It is knowing that access was granted correctly, offboarding actually removed what it should, and nobody is relying on a spreadsheet to remember who has access to GitHub, Slack, Jira, Linear, or internal docs.

That makes Onbored feel less like an onboarding helper and more like an access-control workflow layer for growing engineering teams.

Small hint: I’d make “no uncertainty about who has access where” the main spine, not just the closing line.

Happy to put a tighter launch/buyer angle in writing if useful.

About

I got tired of seeing repetitive onboarding tasks handled through spreadsheets, tickets, and manual processes. I built Onbored to automate engineering onboarding and offboarding through reusable, auditable workflows
