One Bag Travel
Affiliate Website for Carry-On Luggage
A carry on company contacted me to ask about inclusion into our bag grid. Pretty cool to have the industry I'm trying to work with reach out like that.
One Bag Travel was organically posted to Reddit without any involvement from me. The feedback was mostly positive and it was a huge win for me.

Betalist told me my design wasn't good enough to be featured so I started a major redesign and cleaned up a lot of the UI.
"I’m afraid we have some bad news. After we reviewed your startup One Bag Travel we concluded it is not eligible to get featured on BetaList."

First time showing the project to the world. I emailed family and friends as "marketing". Got about 20 hits per month at this point and only had four packing lists.

Hi John. I saw a comment you made in another post and decided to check out your One Bag Travel website. Congrats for putting it together, it looks nice.
From a user perspective, maybe it would be nice to have a place I could call for help? Like posting a comment describing this trip I want to make and asking for advise. It may incur into forcing you to write back to them, thou, or somehow creating a community that would help themselves.
Also, it looks like it would benefit from a blog where you post tips and discuss hurdles that are common to travellers. I guess this could help you generate some traffic.
Anyway, it looks promising. I wish you luck.-

Thanks for the feedback.
I plan on building community features over the summer. I'd like it to be the "IndieHackers" of the minimalist travel world.

About
After several bad experiences traveling with too much luggage, I became interested in minimalist travel. I loved looking at other people's packing lists and couldn't find a website which listed them so I started my own.
