One Dollar Form

Hi Indie Hackers,

I’m a developer who recently got hit with a monthly bill for a Typeform account I hadn't used in three months. It felt wrong to pay "Enterprise" prices ($350/year) just to have a simple waitlist form for a side project.

I didn't want to use Google Forms because of the privacy concerns (and the purple header looks unprofessional).

I realized that existing form builders force you to "rent the factory." I just wanted to "buy one form."

So, I built OneDollarForm.com.

The Premise: The "Pro Slot" Model Instead of a confusing credit system, I built it like a utility:

• $1/month per Pro Slot.

• One slot = One active, white-labeled form.

• If you finish a project, you can move that slot to a new form. You don't lose the value.

• No data selling, no ads, no "powered by" branding on paid slots.

The "Zero-Support" Compromise To make the $1 price sustainable, I had to make a hard trade-off: Zero Support. The tool is strictly self-serve. There is no chat widget, no success manager, and no hand-holding. If a feature needs explanation, I rewrite the UI instead of writing a help article.

The Tech Stack (for the devs):

• Backend: .NET 9 Web API (Clean Architecture + CQRS)

• Frontend: Vue 3 + PrimeVue (Material Design 3)

• Performance: Static Site Generation (SSG) for marketing pages

• Infra: Dockerized on DigitalOcean App Platform

• Integrations: Outgoing Webhooks (JSON POST) so it connects to Zapier/Make.

Why I'm posting: I'm a solo dev, not a marketer. I built this because I needed it, but I want to validate if this "Utility SaaS" model resonates with you.

I would love your feedback:

1. Does the "Pro Slot" pricing model make sense, or is "Pay Per Form" clearer?

2. Does the site feel "trusted" enough to put your credit card in for $1?

3. I stripped out all the "Enterprise bloat" (teams, analytics dashboards). Is there anything I cut that you actually need?
