December 16, 2025 Built something to reduce note + file chaos — would love honest feedback

I’ve been into productivity systems for a long time (GTD, bullet journaling, etc.), and one area I’ve consistently struggled with is organizing and retrieving information — especially after projects are finished.

My setup always ended up fragmented:

  • Notes lived in different apps (OneNote, Apple Notes, etc.)

  • Files (PDFs, docs, spreadsheets) lived in folders or cloud drives

  • Sometimes files were attached to notes just to keep context together

  • When I needed something later, I often couldn’t remember where I saved it

  • Searching never felt trustworthy because I was always searching multiple places

That fragmentation created more mental friction than I expected. I couldn’t fully trust my system, which meant less peace of mind and more time spent re-finding things instead of doing actual work.

Out of that frustration, I built a small web tool for myself.

The idea is intentionally simple:

  • Notes and files live together

  • Everything is organized in plain folders

  • One search across everything, so finding things feels reliable

I’ve attached a few screenshots to show the current state.

I’m mainly sharing this to learn from any of you who care about productivity or have dealt with similar problems:

  • What problems do you run into when managing your notes, files, or saved information over time?

  • What tools or setups are you using today, and what do you like or dislike about them?

  • Does something like this feel useful to you? Why or why not?

I’m mainly here to learn and improve this through honest feedback and discussion.
