OOIR

The new version of OOIR (https://ooir.org/) was launched now.

It relies on a big database with query-intensive pages, so I am uncertain how it will work out. Thanks to a caching system, the loading times should not be overly long.

Another fear is that I rely on third-party data sources and their APIs; will they turn out to be reliable in the long-term?

My first attempt at Tweeting about OOIR encountered some issues: I created new Twitter accounts (not just one, but multiple because my website contains many categories with distinct audiences), but it seems that Twitter wants to see more activities on the Twitter profiles before they allow my posts to be seen by a larger audience.

Whatever the issues: It is a fun project, very useful for my personal use (and for many others, I am sure), and I am very excited to see what lies ahead in the coming months and years!
