most astrology tools i've used are either closed, hard to integrate, or not designed with modern developer workflows in mind.. i wanted something builders could actually install, run locally, inspect, script, and extend
so OpAstro ships with:
a real CLI
a Python package
a local API
Swiss Ephemeris support
structured and explainable horoscope workflows
it’s designed for developers, indie hackers, astrology builders, and spiritual-tech founders who want a programmable foundation instead of a black box
this is the open-core version, focused on practical tooling and lightweight interpretations
