My Side-Project Got Acquired! 🎉

It’s been 3 months since I launched Open Startup List, what an incredible milestone, a time in which I built, marketed and recently sold it.

So much has happened – my first launch on PH, getting interviewed to a tech magazine, reaching to over 470+ subscribers, getting featured on “\open” pages and in blog posts, interviewing founders, marketing and improving my skillset and finally selling the side-project! (was listed on @MicroAcquire).

While the project didn’t generate income, it did get a lot of attention, an increasing subscriber base, and a strong domain authority, all of which while growing completely organic. The potential is high and it’s at a great starting point.

I want to thank everybody who’s been along the ride, founders with which I did interviews, thank you @richclominson, @yongfook, @czue, @dinkydani, @levelsio and @adriaanvanrossum for sharing insights about your projects with me and Open Startup List. It was incredible to chat with you and I learned so much from it!

I would like to introduce @metawiz to our community, Igor acquired Open Startup List and is now the proud owner of it, I wish him tons of success. The potential is huge as more and more side-projects are turning open, it’s super trendy nowadays to be transparent, I see it all over the forum, in many posts by indie hackers.

I’ve decided to write an e-book about my side-project journey. I encourage you to check it out!

Your project was to list company's earnings in public.

But you are not sharing the amount its sold for. 🤣

Very well done mate. Simple but OUTSTANDING IDEA. This is sort of the idea of a business that delivers value to the community, to businesses, and slightly change the way we move forward the startup ecosystem.
