Openship is a operations backend for e-commerce shops
I thought I'd try content marketing by putting together a site to help people find open-source alternatives to apps they already use. You can use the website to find alternatives to Heroku, Shopify, Github, and many more.
I also built in a request system so users can request open-source alternatives to otherwise commercial software.
The site is also open-sourced here: https://github.com/junaid33/opensource.builders
Writing is not my forte, but I knew I had to write an announcement article for Openship to get people to understand the thinking behind the platform. Hopefully, this is the start of a journey.

It took 8 months and a lot of learning, but I'm finally done building the initial release for Openship. I had to learn JS, React, Next.js, Express, koa, and GraphQL to get here and I couldn't be happier!
The project started out as my personal backend system for my e-commerce shops, but my goal was to open source it and allow everyone to use it to automate how their shops operate from fulfillment to customer service.

I built Openship to manage my e-commerce shops and build automations. It allows you to tap into Shopify's GraphQL API and build systems for your e-commerce shops.
