Back when I was building Swipekit, I ran into a ton of operational issues. These were things like:
- Who signed up
- Where did they sign up from
- Did the cron job run?
- What was the output of the cron job?
- Need to generate specific reports
- Need a dashboard to manage user
And so on.
I was looking at various tools but nothing came close to fixing these issues. Some tools wanted entire access to my sql db, some had ridiculous pricing models, others lacked polish, etc.
So I created operational.co
Initially this was a internal tool. All the way from early 2023 to mid 2024, this wasn't a SaaS product at all. Slowly, Operational replaced telegram, logsnag and a few other bits from posthog.
