Helping IndieHackers validate their product ideas
It took us nearly a year to hit 30 newsletter subscribers, then in one week we jumped to over 150. We're doubling down on content as part of our customer acquisition strategy at OpinionX, hoping to build solid traction in this area over Q1 2021. Help us get to 1,000 at opinionx.co/newsletter :)
After launching on Product Hunt 5 weeks ago we took our learnings, updated our product OpinionX.co with user feedback and came back for round 2. On Tuesday we posted to Show HN and made it to the front page within 45 minutes.
Overall we were on the front page for most of the day and took the top spot on Show HN for hours.
We drove over 4,000 website visitors this week from HackerNews and have had a tonne of new users sign up.
The best advice I found for a good HN launch is from Harry at MarketingExamples.com with his article "How to get 30,000 Hacker News visitors to your website": https://marketingexamples.com/content/drive-traffic-from-hacker-news

We shipped our first self-service version of OpinionX and launched the same day on Product Hunt. Check it out: https://www.producthunt.com/posts/opinionx
We had nearly 500 website visitors and 40 new customers by the end of the week. Now to hit 100 customers 🚀

80% of new products and features are rarely or never used. Why? Because they solve a "mild inconvenience" rather than a burning problem. OpinionX helps you understand if your idea solves an important customer problem.
