OpusCove

Hello, Indie Hackers! 👋 I’m launching my Build in Public journey with a tool designed to solve a universal pain point: the lack of digital autonomy over the videos and knowledge we consume.

The Problem: The Stream is Broken

Why should we be tethered to Wi-Fi, bombarded with ads, or forced to pay for a "Premium" subscription just to watch a single video offline, or grab a transcript for a learning project? For creators, researchers, and learners, this friction is a constant time-sink.

The Solution: Opuscove

I’m building Opuscove, a lightning-fast, multi-platform downloader that puts control back in your hands.

Opuscove’s Core Promise: Paste a link (from nearly any platform) and get the video + subtitles/transcripts with one click. It’s built for speed and ultimate compatibility.

My Next Step & Community Ask

Right now, the priority is perfecting the integration engine and finding our first super-users for the subtitle feature.

My question to the community is simple: When researching or learning, what is the one platform whose video/transcript downloading restriction frustrates you the most?

Looking forward to your feedback and sharing our technical challenges along the way!
