OpusTools is a lightweight online tool that helps you convert, compress, and download audio or video files using the Opus codec—right from your browser. No installs, no ads, no bloat.
You just drag in a file, set a few quality options, and download the result in seconds. It works entirely client-side, so your media never gets uploaded or stored anywhere.
I built it because most converters I found were either filled with ads, required installing sketchy software, or had annoying usage limits. I wanted something simple, fast, and privacy-friendly.
I use it for reducing audio file sizes when sharing clips on platforms like Telegram or WhatsApp, and it’s also great for podcast audio, game assets, or compressing background music for web apps. The Opus codec delivers great quality at small sizes.

One of the tool I recently been looking for is a remote MCP server to a servive like yours.
The site looks a lot cleaner than most other similar products I find on Google. Curious to know why you chose to build this product
Nice work on the redesign. I’ve noticed even small UI tweaks can make a huge difference in how people actually use a tool. For feedback vs roadmap I usually group requests by frequency and see which ones overlap with the long term vision. How do you prioritize when feedback points in totally different directions?
