I'm a .NET developer with 12+ years in banking and fintech — the kind of work where every deploy has to be perfect and nothing ever breaks. Solid experience, but zero room for messing around or building something just because it's fun.
So on the side, I started building the opposite: small, instant, no-friction tools. No signup, no backend database, no "create an account to see your results." Just open the page and use it.
It started as a single name-combiner tool. Then I kept adding — a love percentage calculator, relationship quizzes (green flags, trust, communication style), date night generators, anniversary trackers, message generators. 37 tools later, it turned into OurLoveTools.
A few things I learned building this alongside a full-time job:
- Shipping in small batches (5-7 tools at a time) kept it from feeling overwhelming
- Keeping everything client-side (no server storage) massively simplified both privacy and infrastructure — genuinely didn't expect how much easier this made everything
- SEO for a brand-new domain is slower than I expected, even when the on-page stuff is solid — authority takes real time to build, no shortcut
It's live at ourlovetools.com if anyone wants to poke around. Ad-supported, completely free, still very early (a few weeks old), so genuinely open to feedback — especially if something looks broken or confusing on a page, that's exactly the kind of thing I want to know.
Long-term goal is to build this into an actual software house — this is one of a few independent projects I'm working on toward that.

Congrats on your venture!
I had a quick look around and noticed that where you use predefined prompts, there aren't a lot of them, which makes the experience a bit unpleasant (you can tell the website is at the very beginning). Have you thought of using AI to generate some of the content instantly? This would be a perfect fit for an AI model.
