Real-time pay-to-rank advertising & live leaderboard
Outbid is now live at https://outbid.page — a real-time pay-to-rank advertising board with game theory bidding, dofollow backlinks, and anti-snipe protection for indie makers and micro-SaaS.Outbid is now live at https://outbid.page.
We built Outbid to give indie hackers and micro-SaaS builders a transparent, real-time way to gain visibility and dofollow link equity without recurring subscription lock-ins or opaque ad auctions.
How it works:
1. Submit your project URL, title, and bid (starts at $5).
2. Highest cumulative bid takes Rank #1.
3. Older bids win ties to reward early supporters.
4. Anti-snipe clock protection ensures fair competition.

one thing i would add is a spend guardrail for the bidder: a max daily budget, clear current-rank cost, and an estimate of how long a bid has held the position. then publish an outcome view by rank—qualified visits, signup rate, and repeat bidders—rather than treating a higher bid as success. if a buyer spends $5 and gets no relevant traffic, that is useful product feedback even if the auction worked exactly as designed.

This actually sounds like a solid idea real time bidding for visibility + dofollow link is way better than the usual subscription lock-in most directories do. Curious how you're handling spam bids though, is there a min increment or cooldown so someone can't just outbid every few seconds? Anti-snipe clock is a nice touch, will keep an eye on this
The anti-snipe clock is an interesting detail. Without that I could see the whole thing turning into a last-second bidding game pretty quickly.
Feels like Outbid could be getting a lot more organic traffic than it is right now. At $0 revenue this early that kind of unused demand would be pretty noticeable.
Are you seeing any unexpected interest from people who weren't already looking for something like this?
The interesting part is making paid visibility a competitive mechanism rather than another recurring ad subscription. The real question is whether the bidding dynamic creates enough buyer-side demand to sustain the marketplace.
