For 30 years the productivity industry sold the same premise: the problem is capture. Build a better note tool, tag things better, and thinking improves. We don't think that's true. Notion, Obsidian, Evernote, even ChatGPT's memory — they all treat your mind like a library: file it, tag it, search later. But a mind isn't a library, it's a network of connections. Anything built on "store and retrieve" breaks the same way — it waits for you, and thinking doesn't wait.
We're calling what we're building Personal Intelligence — not AI, not PKM, not another productivity app. Something that connects what you capture across time and surfaces it before you have to ask.
Still very early. Would genuinely like to hear how people here have dealt with the same problem.

The "library" metaphor is spot on. The biggest point of failure in traditional PKM isn't the storage; it's the cognitive friction of retrieval. We capture things in one context, but we need them in a completely different, unpredictable context months later. Expecting a human to manually maintain tags or guess the exact search query when they are in the flow of a new idea is where the system breaks down.
"Personal Intelligence" that surfaces connections proactively feels like the right evolution.
