It's time for Owwly 3.0

Today is a special day for me and my code master - Adrian. After almost 4 months of hard work, we want to introduce to the world new, refreshed Owwly 🎉Read a story below and check my 10 main takeaways from this crazy journey.

About changes:

💡 Strategy: We are pretty sure what direction we would like to take. We want to help products flourish and gain new users. We believe building a community around products is crucial to achieving success. That’s why we added an option to present product’s progress. Share your successes, but also failures or thoughts. Share knowledge and learn from other makers like you!

👨‍💻 Target group: Makers, Startupers, Early adopters - everyone who creates products and wants to share his progress with people.

🧐 What should I do
Log in -> Add product -> Update your progress/Write a post - how easy it that 😉

🤷‍♂️ What type of problem Owwly solves?
If you struggle with your product’s promotion - use Owwly. Increase visibility of your product in the vast web and gain new devoted users.

About the process:

⭐️ 10 tips and takeaways

  1. Holidays it’s a not good time to plan an update 💀
  2. Procrastination is inevitable. Prepare green tea and stay calm.
  3. You know nothing about marketing… That’s right. Even the best products will be nothing without a tone of time spent on marketing. Below you can find websites which I used last months:
    1. IndieHackers
    2. ProductHunt (Makers section)
    3. Reddit
      • r/designcritiques
      • r/imadethis
        -r/sideproject
      • r/startups
    4. Spectrum
    5. Makerlog
  4. It’s possible to maintain a website and work on new things with only two people on the board (Design+Marketing+Backend+Frontend). And we’re still alive!
  5. You thinking about your product even if you slip 😴
  6. Bad day -> good day -> bad day -> good day …
  7. Developers like to complain to designers when they see design first time ;p. Be polite and supportive.
  8. Determine design language/style guidelines at the beginning.
  9. Partners who understand your passion and give you freedom are a treasure. Thank you for our girls 😘
  10. Don’t try to explain to your mom what are you doing :P

One more time, welcome in our new home for makers and creators. Share your stories and build great community with us!

The site is looking great, well done! If I can make a suggestion, when signing up I know people like the option to be able to provide an email and password rather than using something like google or Facebook login.

Hey Piotr, congrats on the launch. Subscribe button is not working, throwing a 400 error. Check the image for your reference https://imgur.com/hj2jpAC
