PageInsight

Real-time, page-level analytics for any Notion page

Visit Website
May 3, 2026 I launched page-level analytics for Notion — because I kept publishing into the void

For the past year I've been using Notion for everything public-facing — product roadmap, API docs, a hiring guide. Every week I'd update them and wonder: is anyone actually reading this?

Google Analytics doesn't work inside Notion. There's no native view counter. I'd post a link and genuinely not know if 3 people read it or 300.

So I built PageInsight.

What it does

You paste one embed URL into any public or shared Notion page. That's the entire setup. From there you get:

- Real-time page views and sessions

- Time on page (heartbeat-based, not just load events)

- Visitor locations (coarse IP geo)

- Live reader count

It works because Notion renders iframe embeds — a tiny invisible tracker loads on every page visit and reports back to the dashboard.

The data surprised me

Once I had tracking on my own pages:

- My API docs got read 3x more than expected — people landing from Google without me knowing

- Weekend traffic dropped ~90% (obvious in hindsight)

- ~50% of visitors from countries I never expected

- Average time on the hiring page: 74 seconds. Not great.

Where it is now

Launched April 28. Free plan: 5 trackers. Pro: $10/mo for 100 trackers.

First user came in organically within a few days — best early validation I could ask for.

Launching on Product Hunt on May 5 if anyone wants to follow along.

Built with

Next.js, Supabase, Stripe, Vercel. The embed is a plain pixel that fires async — adds ~0ms to Notion render time.

What's next

- Weekly email digests per page

- Referrer tracking (what's driving traffic to your Notion pages)

- Notion Marketplace template (submitted, pending review)

Happy to answer questions about the build or distribution. And if you use Notion for anything public-facing — curious what you'd want to track.
