April 14, 2021 Now more than 80 dialogues on Pairagraph!

We're continuing to attract big names and serious thinkers to Pairagraph, and now we're hosting new dialogues at a faster rate than ever.

I'm blown away when I think of all the people who have participated so far: Niall Ferguson, Francis Fukuyama, Joseph Nye, Alan Dershowitz, Martin Wolf, Robert Shiller, Burton Malkiel, Balaji Srinivasan, Russ Roberts, Joe Lonsdale, Julia Galef, Chris Arnade, Martin Gurri, David French, Deirdre McCloskey, Lawrence Krauss, Michael Lind, Megan McArdle, David Corn, Ian Bremmer, Vint Cerf, Cathy Young, Noah Smith, Coleman Hughes, Yanis Varoufakis, and dozens more.

It's been a great honor -- and so much fun -- bringing these folks together for good conversations on big topics.

I can't wait to see what's next!

March 22, 2021 Duke University says it wants to partner

A representative of Duke University discovered our site and wants to partner.

We had an introductory call with Duke on April 9.

Now we're sorting through ways that it might make sense to work together. Nothing has been formalized just yet, but the wheels are in motion!

February 16, 2021 Joined the Pioneer tournament

I heard about Daniel Gross's new venture (Pioneer), and signed up as soon as I heard.

EDIT (4/14): After 8 weeks competing in the Pioneer tournament, we've moved all the way up to the 17th spot!

Here's to continuing to climb the leaderboard and (fingers crossed) one day achieving Pioneer status!

February 3, 2021 Launched on Hacker News!

Yesterday we launched Pairagraph on Hacker News and got to the front page! Overall it resulted in ~2k page views and almost 100 new email signups.

We worked with HN moderator Daniel Gackle before posting, and he was sooo helpful in helping us think through how we should pitch Pairagraph to the HN community.

Thanks again, Daniel!

December 15, 2020 Added a donate button so fans/readers can support

Without any ARR, we decided it was time to see if our loyal fans and readers would be interested in offering their support to help keep us moving forward.

So far, we've received more than $2,000 including generous donations from Nick Rellas (former CEO of Drizly) and Om Malik.

November 25, 2019 First BIG TIME contributors

Around the time of Trump's impeachment, we snagged our first two really BIG TIME authors -- Alan Dershowitz and Erwin Chemerinsky (Dean, Berkeley Law).

The two had a spirited exchange about whether Trump's offenses rose to the category of 'impeachable.'

It remains one of our most popular conversations of all-time.

August 19, 2019 First completed dialogue!

The dialogue between Alan Lightman and Rebecca Goldstein finished on August 19, when Goldstein made her final post.

It remains one of my favorite conversations on the site. It's a charming exchange, and Alan's friendship with Rebecca's shines through all the way.

July 27, 2019 First ever post on the site!

Alan Lightman, physicist at MIT, made the first post on the site in his conversation with philosopher Rebecca Goldstein.

Lightman was the first author who ever said "YES, I'd love to participate on Pairagraph," and for that we are ever grateful.

July 1, 2019 Finished building v1 of the site!

It took 3-4 months weeks, but we're finally done building v1 of Pairagraph. I was in charge of design and Carter coded the whole thing. In hindsight, there were probably a bunch of things that we could've waited until later to build. But getting the website on the web and in front of potential authors was a huge first step!
