Public Beta launch
Palapa makes it easy to build a simple intranet by keeping your discussions, documentation and contacts in one place.

A new teaser for Palapa.io
I'm close to finish an MVP for Palapa.io and I just updated a detailed teaser that will eventually morph into the final landing page:
The goal is to explain the pain points we can have with current collaboration tools (too noisy, too specialized, too expansive for modest organizations, etc.) and to collect subscribers emails.
Is the message/product clear? Is it too wordy? Does the page look good? Tell me what you think!

Is it similar to Zebu?
You mean https://zebu.io ? It looks similar in that both applications integrate many simple tools into 1 app and act as company headquarters.
One major difference that I can see is that Palapa encourages asynchronous work whereas Zebu organizes discussions as chat rooms. Zebu has a calendar, Palapa calendar is not ready yet. But Palapa has a shared contacts book... Same spirit, different flavors :) Many apps on the web are also for english-speaking people only. I want to make a difference by proposing different languages (I have English and French for now).
I've also built Palapa because I had enough of Slack (and chats in general) at my previous jobs. It is great when you have an emergency but for all the little things that can wait (company wide announcements, sharing blog posts, small requests, events...) Slack is just a productivity killer for people who need calm to do their work.
