A major milestone... We finally launched our document capture juggernaut, capable of dealing with any kind of document and providing clients with just the right abstractions to create document automation themselves without relying on the support of experts.
On this day, we officially announced our first larger funding round with external investors. The main goal of this strategic move was to raise enough money to further validate assumptions and get us ready to truly revolutionize document extraction in Europe with AI.
Our first product was for various use cases in the procure to pay context. Partners and customers could now classify documents such as order confirmations, delivery bills, invoices, and the like without configuration or training and extract data. With each interaction on the platform, the machine learns and continuously improves the extraction capabilities.
Forbes lists Parashift as one of the 30 most promising AI startups in the DACH region.
At this point in time, our claim was to put an end to tedious manual accounting work. Thanks to the AI-based document extraction process, the customer should no longer have to enter any manual data at all.
We had the sobering realization that document extraction is not yet solved. As a result, we made a hackathon with our machine learning engineers to build something ourselves and get to grips with the issue. We quickly realized that we could achieve promising results and decided to build a separate venture to address the market need in a dedicated way and solve the problem with modern technologies.
