Host your static site on WordPress
The struggle of connecting dots between an old WordPress websites, non technical owners and AI generated replacements — and how to host them.
With the rise of AI tools, I couldn’t help but notice that not only do they make all the annoying duties of engineering more bearable and faster for me, but they also make my non-technical friends and family much more capable in the technical world.
Many times I was considered the “IT guy” to whom they called to create a website for their project or “please update the contact”. In recent years they were able to draft their ideas and website content in the ChatGPT, and/or even generate image previews of the websites. I even started to require them to have all the information drafted in AI before I would even start looking at it. It graduated into a state, where I just let them use tools like Lovable, Base44 or Framer. Now they’re able to create an entire website and fine-tune the content without my intervention.
I noticed this puts me in a new position. They already have the website ready, but they get stuck on questions like:
“How do I connect my domain and WordPress hosting I just bought?”
“How can I set my logo as the favicon?”
“Why is the link preview in social media wrong?”
“$20 bucks per month is a little too steep. Can you host it for free?”
For some time I was able to use my personal hosting to provide this services but it still required some manual transfers, overrides and further changes. At some point I asked a question, whether I can play their game and try to deploy the websites to the WordPress they typically bought with their domain and keep things automated and “code-free”. Turned out, I am able to build almost all of the simple websites as a static site using the Github actions in their repo for free and with a custom WordPress plugin, I am able to connect the repos with the websites. I decided to build a small SaaS around it and call it Parkstatic.site.
That feeling, when you prompt a website in lovable, save it to your GH repo, then just install and activate the plugin, and within minutes all the additional lovable edits propagate to the live wordpress site is pretty magical. It’s hassle-free for me, my friends get their updates almost instantly without touching the code, and they save some money along the way. I call that a win-win.
If you have a need for something like this, give parkstatic a try and let me know what you think.

What stood out to me is that you're not really solving website hosting—you're solving the last mile between AI-generated websites and the infrastructure people already own.
AI has made building a website dramatically easier, but publishing and maintaining it is still where many non-technical users get stuck. Bridging that gap feels like a much more interesting problem than competing with another hosting provider.
