October 4, 2025 Instagram-style tagging for setup photos

I just launched Partisyn - a platform where you can tag PC components in setup photos the same way you tag people on Instagram.

The Problem: Every battlestation/setup/PC build post has 50 comments asking "what keyboard is that?" "what monitor?" "where can I get that case from?" - it's work for both the poster and the commenters.

The Solution: Upload your setup photo, click to tag each component (keyboard, mouse, monitor, etc.), and get a shareable link. Anyone who views it can click the blue dots to see exactly what's in your setup + where to buy it.

Tech Stack:

  • Frontend: Next.js, React, Material UI

  • Backend: Django, GraphQL, MongoDB

  • Hosted on: Vercel + Google Cloud Run

Current Features:

  • Setup gallery with ratings/comments

  • "Particulate" - Instagram-style tagging for components

  • Component database with search

  • Shareable links for each tagged setup

What I'm figuring out:

  • Should I keep building features or refine on what I already have?

  • How do I get past the cold start phase every social media app faces?

  • Monetization: Affiliate links, but premium features?

Would love any feedback from the community! What would make you actually use this vs just posting on Reddit?

You need 3 platforms to share a setup properly, and parts lists are ugly text dumps. I built Instagram-style tagging for setup photos. Tag components visually, share one link. Done.
