Partner Up
Newsletter to help companies develop successful partnerships
Here is a short update to my current newsletter, Partner Up. One of the positive side effects of creating a newsletter that serves my profession is that I interact with so many talented people in my industry. I try to respond to any emails, comments, or feedback, and it has opened the door to meeting experts, thought leaders, and others I respect.
Because of my new relationships formed from the newsletter, I will be speaking at an upcoming industry conference in May. More to come soon as we iron out details. I am excited about this opportunity and am absolutely floored how it all started.
I am still writing articles and doing what I can to make sure that my readers get the content they deserve.
17 weekly curated newsletter
9 articles on partner management strategies
Email list count: 112
Open rates- ~ 39%
Here is a quick update on the newsletter. I'm still navigating thru the world of an early-stage newsletter, and so far, the feedback has been positive. I've started to gain a cadence in writing, which is the best outcome so far. I've narrowed down my channel distribution after monitoring traffic sources and realize the valuable audience is still thru LinkedIn. Cross-posting articles to other sources after my subscribers get it first via email has helped gain new readers.
I am happy to announce that you can now find my articles on the Cloud Software Association website. If you don't know about them, it's a great resource for anyone in the SaaS industry ( https://www.cloudsoftwareassociation.com/2021/02/09/how-to-become-the-partner-that-sales-teams-call-first/)
So far, here is the update:
13 weekly curated newsletter
7 articles on partner management strategies
Email list count: 83
Open rates- ~ 39%

Here's a quick update on how the newsletter is going. At this stage, growth has been moving slow and steady. Writing weekly on a schedule is starting to become a little easier as I start to get into a decent routine. With that being said, promoting has primarily thru LinkedIn professional groups and two FB groups. The newsletter is currently available in a few different newsletter directories, and articles are repurposed in Medium. This month, I will start to repurpose articles on LinkedIn.
So far, I've posted:
9 weekly curated newsletters
5 articles on partnership management strategies
Email list count - 46
Open rates - ~38%
Click rates - ~27%

I wanted to share that today marks the 30th day since I first started a newsletter for partnership professionals. I've only promoted it on groups where my target audience lives such as Twitter, select LinkedIn groups, and one FB group. I also started to repurpose the articles on Medium as well. I haven't started a paid subscription yet and will only offer it when I build a larger list of engaged users.
So far, I've posted:
5 weekly curated newsletter
4 articles
Email list count: 17
Posts are averaging 40-50% open rates
As expected, most of my visitors are from LinkedIn (41%), while the rest are between Twitter, Medium, Inboxreads, IH. I'll continue to monitor open and click rates to study the type of content that is better suited for the audience.

In addition to the weekly updates that I will provide, I will be posting articles on how to build and grow partner programs. My first article is now available! I hope that the content is valuable and look forward to improving the quality of the newsletter.

I've been interested in starting a newsletter for some time now and decided to make the jump. Since there is no industry playbook for alliances and partnerships, I felt that I could share my experiences and thoughts on what I've learned so far in partnerships for B2B enterprise and startups.
